Happy Friday I hope we get those cards in the mail today

Hey guys,

I've been out of work for more than 3 weeks now and can't wait to go back. I've really taken for granted how much my life has changed since I got DACA so I just want to give God thanks for changing the lives of all the dreamers that are no longer dreaming but living the dream. These delays are going to make us much stronger so when we go back to work, we do the best and keep our promises to have a better future. It feels really good to know that we are not alone, that we have each other and that although some of our closest friends have no idea of the things we've gone through to get to where we are, we know how to be grateful.

Amen! i feel the same way. i have a new job waiting for my card to arrive as well, and i have been keeping my boss waiting for more than a month. i really hope the card comes before next friday.

DACA approval: September 27

So just over 3 weeks from approval to card in hand. We may expect a similar delay.

Just told HR I'm gonna have to go on unpaid leave next week (and possibly beyond that too).

BRING IT ON!

Going to take this "vacation" and be happy with it.

Haha, I am! I was approved on September 27. The weird thing about my case is that my employer never asked me for the card, so I was expired for a few weeks/days and they didn't know. I kept getting paid, which works for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here's my personal story. I'm wondering if people here who have been approved but not received EAD have tried speaking to their HR departments? I have already provided my HR department with a screenshot showing that my EAD has been renewed and provided them a copy of the 821D notice (obtained from ELIS through PDF) and they are completely fine with it! If you have been approved, you should really try to drill this in the heads of the HR department that your EAD has been renewed.
