My permit expires on 4/1/17

I've read Trump will most likely remove DACA, the question is whether or not he will let the recipients' permits expire....

Should i send my renewal application? Do you think i would get approved in time before JAN 20? I'm really debating wasting 500 and test my luck. I want to save as much money as possible at this time. Thank You!

PS. I'm in NY and would have to send it over to the Chicago facility.

I would do it. I do think that he will end the program (I really hope and pray to god that he does not) but best we can hope is that he allows those with current permits to continue using them until they expire.

In the end it will be up to you. Make a decision that you will not regret.

Yes definitely. We don't know what's gonna happen. Nothing is set in stone.

This is exactly how I feel too. Because mine expires in March waaay after Trump becomes president.
But I made up my mind to do it because what else have I got to lose? Right now it really does suck to waste $465 but... I'm hoping for some sort of miracle. Which if it happens, I'd be glad I renewed and the $465 would have been more than worth it.

My bf has suggested we marry asap (since we were in talk about that anyway and he is a U.S, citizen) and if we do, then that would require money. We're long distance >_< So, airfare, moving expenses, etc. And I considered using the money instead to apply for advance parole and then adjust status after marriage. But it probably too late now. Right?

What's funny is, around May, I had a hunch Trump would probably win because theres so much hatred in the country. I wanted to do AP then, just in case, but friends convinced me that this guy had no shot at it. I also did not have an excuse. I also hoped that the U.S. could not do such thing to itself. So I kind of forgot about it, now I wish I had done it when I had the time. Oh sweet time. But can't cry over spilled milk. So... here I am hoping for a miracle and renewing.

Thoughts? =/ Any advice?

To summarize, there is no legitimate reason to not attempt to renew.

^ Agree, there is nothing to loose but $465. Let's all hope for the best.
