The House of Representatives approved a Senate resolution calling for federal balanced immigration reform which would take into account Utah's employers. The largely symbolic measure allows a formal message to be sent to members of Congress as a reflection of the Legislature's position.
"We want action," said Rep. Sheryl Allen, R-Bountiful, before the 63-0 vote to approve SCR5.
The vote came after Jon Huntsman Jr. said to the Deseret Morning News that he expects the federal government to act soon after the November election on immigration reform. "Our state does need to do something and recognize that, I think, the federal response is right around the corner," the governor said, suggesting there needs to be time for the federal government "to catch up and do what they're going to do."

I've always said the best time for us to make another realistic push for dream act is immediately after the november elections. We should start preparing for one final blitz before the year is over.

Great News!! And yes I agree with the final blitz after the November elections, we have 9 months to organize and plan for it, we can also use this time to come up with new ideas to help make the passage of DREAM a reality.

i think maybe we should also focus on things like doing everything we can to get congressmen/women re-elected if they support some sort of CIR or DREAM ACT.. regardless of their party .. aslong as they are on our side..

.. any ideas?

Educate your citizen friends, family, etc. on the importance of DREAM and CIR. The people that I can't stand are the people who "don't care" about voting or are aware of why they're voting for someone.

One of my stupid friends said "I'm voting for Hilary because she's a girl." I don't even know how someone can be so stupid.

Hillary's on our side too... She said CIR in the first 100 days of office.

No, I understand that. I guess that's the part of being "safe" that my friend would vote for someone who already is on our side. My point being is that it's a very uneducated vote and she's doing it only because Hilary is a woman. I'm pretty much saying that she would've voted for Hilary even Hilary was against us and my friend didn't know.

Sure he will, question is WHEN?

Have in mind, that he plans to pass a CIR AFTER dealing with the border, which could take...more than a year.
