Hi guys,

I've been debating about two things and I would like you guys opinion on it.

- I'm in the construction field, I'm a carpentry foreman and also a general construction site superintendent, and I was looking into going to community college for an AAS in Architectural Technology, should I wait these 4 weeks to see what Trump will do with us, or should I go ahead and enroll myself?

-Also, my EAD expires in November 2017, I've heard of some Dreamers who sent their renewal application way far ahead and didn't get denied, so I was contemplating doing the same, but again, do you guys think it's too risk since things can change in 4 weeks?

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks.

The only thing you risk in both cases is a bit of money. I would say enroll in the classes, community college is cheap so if you have to drop out later you don't lose a lot. Same with the renewal, if you renew now and it gets granted you get two full years of having a valid work permit. If you don't get approved all you lose is the filing fee. It depends on your financial situation, if you can afford to risk the money I would do it.

I personally think that it might be a good idea to enroll now just because his decision might be merit based. Being in school and seeking a degree makes you look better on paper. I personally think that his program might have to do with degree seeking or college grads but who knows! If you can afford it, I don't think it could hurt you to enroll now, but might definitely help in the near future. Since you're working full time, I recommend taking some online classes to ease the workload! Good luck buddy!

Go ahead and do it man, Trump may take your DACA away but he will never take your education away.
