Mark Krikorian, the executive director of the conservative Center for Immigration Studies, which advocates for tighter restrictions on immigration, said he’s open to a compromise in which, for instance, those previously covered by DACA receive green cards in exchange for other concessions.

“Suspending DACA processing is an extremely simple, clear-cut thing. And if they haven’t done it by now, there’s some reason for it,” said Krikorian.

Advocates on both sides are expecting a compromise in which the president perhaps ends DACA and then works with Congress on a permanent solution that allows these immigrants to stay in the country.

Mark Gonzales, the president of the Hispanic Action Network, said Trump’s actions this past week have “definitely shaken up our Hispanic community and the immigrant community in particular.” But he said that he’s confident from Trump and his aides’ rhetoric that young immigrants currently protected by DACA don’t have to be alarmed.

This ties into what some reporters have been saying. They need to have something better than the Bridge act.

Mark Krikorian is garbage, and I bet he is secretly a descendant of Hitler, but he always hating and that is a first that he is willing to compromise, I guess he understands that there is no way around, and his think thank can do nothing to influence Trump, but he will want said concessions to deport all other immigrants in exchange for greencards for dreamers, guess what, we don't need your approval Lying Mark.

DreamAct for all childhood arrivals up to 2014 or no deal - they will throw everyone else under the bus. F*** no. They claimed DACA was going to affect 1.5 million, bUT only 700,000+ applied because there are NOT that many of us. DreamAct would probably affect the original estimate of applicants. Democrats are already in the hot seat all over this morning shows for their relative lack of action and silence over the Muslim ban fiasco. As I said, if
60 legislative votes are there for DACA, they are there for DreamAct.

The only thing we can expect from Republicans in the house and senate is to preserve the status quo sadly.

Trump threw under the bus people even holding green cards. I don't see him doing much for us. Even if he keeps DACA, it won't stop ICE from targeting us. What's to stop an ice agent from deporting us and "whoops"

Again, we all need to get this green card, path to citizenship shit out of our heads. It won't pass both chambers. Haven't you all been seeing what's going on smh. The best we are going to get right now is the Bridge Act and hopefully a renewal amendment is added. We are no different than the other groups that has been targeted so far. The only reason we are even a topic of discussion right now for a legislative fix is because of DACA, other wise we would be right there going down with the rest.
