So i lost my DACA card/permit.... I KNOW I KNOW NO NEED TO LECTURE ME... anyways I still have the paper that came with the card in the mail and I still have my form I-797 Notice of Action. I am wondering if I should get a replacement card or not? I'm not too short on money but I am also saving for community college. Also I applied at a job (I have 2 jobs currently so I won't be completely jobless) and they did not ask for my card just and ID and social security. I know some other places will probably ask for the card though. My mom always wants to get an appointment for me to get my passport (most likely in Indianapolis but there is a consultant coming to my state OH. I am wondering if I will need my card (physically like in my hands) if I get an appointment? Basically I am wondering if I will actually need to have the card physically with me or can I wait a bit longer to replace it? It also doesn't expire until autumn of 2018 if that matters. Thank you (I hope this is not a dumb question, this is not something I'm very knowledgeable on even though I should be again I know I know).

My card when approved was lost in the mail in transit to me and i had to pay for a replacement which took even longer than when i was approved. If your job has your updated ead and your liscense is fine then dont waste your money.

Natasha's advice is sound but you have to know you're driving without insurance here.

By law you're supposed to have it with you. If immigration round you up, unless you have the card, they're NOT going to go through the trouble of looking you up in some database. They can deport you right then and there.

Yes, chances are very small. But Id say just get another card so you don't lose sleep.
