My husband and I will be travelling to Mexico this weekend with his AP.

I just want to see if anyone has traveled outside the US recently (while Trump is in presidency) using their AP? We are really nervous, but to us, this seems like it is the best choice because of his EWI.

Want to see what people's experiences have been.

Thank you!

Nothing has changed. Why are you nervous? The process for AP and travel haven't changed. As long as you're not a criminal you're fine

Consult a immigration lawyer before leaving the country if you have any history with immigration or criminal. You wanna also make sure your admissible to the US when returning.

The reason is for humanitarian reason--we are visiting his grandparents.

I'm not sure. Our lawyer stated we didn't need it,but we do have it on our phones in case they ask -- a doctor's note.

Anyone here recently apply and get approved for AP for work/employment reasons?

My employer has been pushing that I go to china for an audit, however we are unsure if it is 1. viable to be approved 2. safe upon return

thoughts?

Keep us updated... Here is some info I digged up.

According to the new, revised, "Travel Ban" Executive Order protecting the US from foreign terrorism (Mexico not being one of the 6 countries listed), we are still allowed to travel on ADVANCE PAROLE,

SEE SECTION 3(B)(iii)

"Sec. 3. Scope and Implementation of Suspension.
...

(b) Exceptions. The suspension of entry pursuant to section 2 of this order shall not apply to:

...

(iii) any foreign national who has a document other than a visa, valid on the effective date of this order or issued on any date thereafter, that permits him or her to travel to the United States and seek entry or admission, such as an advance parole document;
..."

And immediately after these words, there is further info to protect your reentry into the country.

Here is the link to the latest Travel Executive Order https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press...-united-states

So I asked this question before and it didn't really get an answer (I don't think I franed the question too well). When you apply for advance parole, you give them the date you want to travel, right? Let's say you apply today March 29 and you put down you want to travel from May 1st to May 15th. Your application takes like 5 months to process and they don't apporve you until September. What happens then? Do THEY decide the dates you will be able to travel?
