Hello everyone,

Given that my current renewal is taking longer than my initial DACA application, I am desperately searching for any reason for the delay.

There is one thing I noticed, namely the difference in information presented regarding my case when checked through egov-USCIS account vs USCIS-dhs-gov account (the one that requires a new code each and every time you login).

1. a)The egov-USCIS does not list any updates for the I-765 application after the "We received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization" dated December 2016.
b)The DHS-USCIS website does show an update for my I-765 application. In the recent notices box shows the date when I went in for my biometrics (three days before it was scheduled), but lists the notice type as "Appointment Scheduled", and when i click on the notice to view it, it shows the standard fingerprint appointment notice with time and date of the scheduled appointment that was received in the mail, and I now have at home, with the stamp after my biometrics were completed at their local office. Interestingly, I just tested the alternate view of my dhs-uscis account (transfers you to my-uscis-gov), and for the I-765 there is a 2/01/2017 update, with a clearly checked check box, stating that my biometrics were "Completed on January 17,2017" right above the line that states "Scheduled for January 20,2017"

2.a)The egov-USCIS lists my initial DACA request, as well as information about past cases.
b)My DHS-USCIS account shows only the information pertaining to the most recent request for I-821D and I-765

3.I am from New York, for some reason my case is being examined at the California Center (previously I got Vermont). It strikes me as rather unusual, and was just wondering if this is a common thing.

4.The alternate account view for DHS-USCIS-GOV has an option for sending messages to request status about one's case, has anyone used it as an alternative to an e-request or scheduling an info appointment at one of their centers?

You should get a letter in the mail from USCIS with access code, and that allows you to make an account. I know some people called the hotline to ask for the code when they did not receive it in the mail. Technically there's no benefit in the account besides being able to print your biometric appointment before it is mailed to you, and there's a secured messaging system (but I didn't find that USCIS responded any faster to that than the usual way of contacting).

Thank you Swim19,

So you're suppose to receive the code in the mail. But I didn't receive any code. I guess I don't need one.
