Hello my fellow dreamers,

Well like the the title says, my renewal took more than 10 months!!

My timeline is as is:

Sent my renewal app on 6/1/16 confirmed received by USCIS on 6/3/16 t of my dhoukders
Permit expired 10/2016 sent 4 months in advance.

I didn't receive my bio appt till 2/26/17 crazy right!! In between this time lapse I called and submitted e requests but that didn't help at all.
Frustrating because my brother submitted renewal at the same time and he received his EAD on August 15, 2016

I do not understand what goes on that created such a huge difference.

Today, According to my online case status my card is being produced as of 4/19/17. The relief on seeing this lifts a ton of weight off my shoulders im sure others can relate.

This process took more than 10 months and eventhough I didn't lose my job it was still frustrating because my current job was not suppose to be long term but rather a stepping stone for a job I couldn't get due to my expired EAD. Pretty much my progress in pause.

Just though I would share this to my fellow dreamers and if you are in the same boat (i hope not) you will eventually get approved.

Thanks guys.

Regarding the hold up I have no idea.

Renewal case has been the same nothing has changed since my last renewal. Not even a ticket.

All I can think about is my USCIS officer was lazy lol
