Very interesting read. Sharing the reason why we are in the position we are at the moment.

Quote:
The presidential elections of 2016 represented one of the final nails in the coffin for the career of democratic diva Hillary Clinton.

An inarguably strange election, even by modern standards, the contest in 2016 was rife with scandal. While the democrats attempted to pin a massive conspiracy involving Russia to republican candidate Donald Trump, a group of whistleblowers was leaking a constant stream of information from inside the Hillary Clinton campaign; information that would reveal a great deal about the former first lady’s complete and total corruption.

Not only was Hillary discovered to have worked with the DNC to stifle the campaign of her primary opponent Bernie Sanders, but Clinton was also linked to a number of “pay to play” incidents in which foreign governments would funnel money into The Clinton Foundation and suddenly find themselves having an audience with then Secretary of State Clinton.

The sheer mass of the leaked information led to a massive democratic revolt against Clinton, who then became so universally disliked that she actually flipped many previous Obama voters into the Trump camp….in HUGE numbers.

That’s right: 30% of the people who voted for both Barack Obama and Donald Trump claimed that their loathing of the corrupt and incorrigible Hillary Clinton is what drove them to cross partisan lines to vote against her. That is quite the damning indictment of Clinton’s dead-in-the-water political career, that had been already previously tarnished by Benghazi, her health, and her husband’s penchant for political suicide.

No wonder Warren didn't want anything to do with this.

The Democrats can only blame themselves for everything that happened. It even made the Republicans seem a lot more truthful than they actually care to be.

It's not so black and white. Sure Democrats made mistakes but you can't deny that the James Comey report 2 weeks before the election and all the sock puppet russian accounts on social media didn't turn undecided voters against her at the last minute.

She only lost the election by 70,000 people in key states. She still had 3 million more votes.

I agree with you, I'm not forgetting about that.

I particularly remember this one advert on TV. It was an animated one where it had the Clintons moving into the WH and there was this one moving truck behind them unloading their dirty laundry. It aired around Comey's, at least when I saw it. Awesome animation, I'll give them that. Out of all of them, I knew that one was going to hurt.

And then again, the DNC shouldn't had turned away Bernie voters by throwing him under the bus. Bernie voters jumped ship at that point and became Trump voters.

I hope Hillary doesn't run again in 2020, she'll probably just lose again. She may have the answers, but she's not the person for the job.

I don't think there is any chance of that happening again. They really need new blood. I'm not sure who though - maybe one of the Castro brothers? I don't think Elizabeth Warren has national appeal even though I agree with a lot of her views.

If Bernie is as healthy and strong as he is now, and if he continues to stay in the spotlight (positive spotlight) until 2020, and if Trump is still plagued by controversy after controversy, then Bernie may run and may win.
