My application was received in December 5th, 2016 and my biometrics appt was sometime in mid January and have not heard anything since. Should I be worried that it's taking a long time? Btw, it is my first time applying,

call USCIS and ask them if they could do a "service request" for you. its like a ticket so a officer could look into why its taking so long.
