Obtaing CDL with EAD?

Im in Florida, just wondering if with my EAD im able to obtain a CDL. I heard about NAFTA but I'm peruvian so I belive Ill be okay. I read the requirementgs but it does not mention needing to be a resident or citizen.

yes you can. Some guy on this site got it and works for a trucking company. I just read it lol.

I recently got my CDL with no problem I didn't even need to show my EAD, Although I did have to show my EAD to them when I got my permit.
