Early renewals

In light of the news.....Who else is going to send their renewals earlier? I was gonna send it in my renewal September but now I think I am going to send it this week instead. Just to be on the safe side.

You can send it 150-120 days before and if you get renewal letter before then just go ahead and renew

How much time do you have on your current daca? I originally thought about sending it in right now but I think if everyone goes into a panic and tries to renew early. It's just going to clog up the system and make those who really need it have gaps in their status. As far as with the current news...I wouldn't start panicking just yet. There isn't enough information out right now.

My DACA expires in August 2018. My Lawyer stated that he does not recommend sending in the renewal request this early. Even if we do, he thinks it is hard to beat the September timeline for an approval so there is no point.

Based on what evidence? Did other people send it in early and was denied, hence why the lawyer says that? Or is it just his common sense that some people may lack of?

My EAD expires March 2018. I don't care what any lawyer says. Different lawyers say different things. This is for my peace of mind. If they don't take it, that's fine they can send it back to me. I have sent it in earlier before like 6-7 months earlier and it was approved. Your lawyer is not working in your best interest if he told you that. My last renewal got approved in a month. And anything is possible, so it's worth a try. Better to do something than nothing.

Yeah, let me know how it goes for you guys! Pretty sure applying for renewal a year plus in advance is only going to clog the system and delay renewals for people that infact need to be renewed.

I would send yours right away. Its not unreasonably early.
