I didn't see this posted here yet, but here it is:

https://www.durbin.senate.gov/imo/me...%20section.pdf

There is more, but here is the gist of it...This is the dream right here if the powers that be allowed it.
  • The Secretary shall cancel removal and grant lawful permanent resident status on a
  • conditional basis to a person who is inadmissible or deportable from the United States
    or is in temporary protected status who:
  • has been continuously physically present in the U.S. for 4 years preceding the
    date of the enactment;
  • was 17 years old or younger on the initial date of entry into the U.S.;
  • is not inadmissible on the following grounds: criminal, security and terrorism,
    smuggling, student visa abuse, ineligibility for citizenship, polygamy,
    international child abduction, or unlawful voting;
  • has not participated in persecution;
  • has not been convicted of: any federal or state offense punishable by a term of
    imprisonment of more than 1 year (other than a state offense for which an
    essential element is the person’s immigration status), or 3 or more federal or
    state offenses (other than state offenses for which an essential element is the
    alien’s immigration status) for which the person was convicted on different
    dates and imprisoned for an aggregate of 90 days or more; and
    o has been admitted to an institution of higher education, or has graduated from
    high school or obtained a GED or a high school equivalency diploma, or is
    enrolled in secondary school or in an education program assisting students in
    obtaining a high school diploma or in passing a GED or equivalent exam.

just read through it..

it says your conditional PR status for 8 years but in the next section it can be removed if you completed 2 years of your bachelors degree, served in the military or had 3 years (75%) work exp under daca.

so if u achieve 1 of 3 of these things, you are on a fast track to citizenship? they give you 8 years to achieve these?

thats what i mean, if you completed your degree or served in the military you can apply for citizenship already.

that was the whole point of the dream act for every iteration it was introduced.. the govt gives you 5-8 years to complete a degree, military service, work. then you can adjust your status if you completed 1 of those.

you wouldn't be able to apply for citizenship right away. you'd still have to wait 5 years to become eligible for citizenship (3 YRS if married to USC).

I think the process here is CPR -> PR -> Citizenship

Might skip the CPR and go straight to PR if you completed one of those.

correct. you'd skip having to renew conditional permanent residency every two years and become a full permanent resident but you'd still have to wait the time to be eligible for citizenship.
