Hello everyone,

So long story short, I renewed by DACA about 2/3 times by now. My recent renewal got approved but US Post Office lost EAD card in mail. Re-submitted for replacement, did biometric today, and now is the waiting game.

Today afternoon, I got an email inviting me to a medical school interview. The school is in Missouri, I live in New York. So my question is, the license has two expiration dates. One with temporary visitor (by now expired since my old EAD expired in May) and the expiration of the license which is by 2018. Am I allowed to still travel domestically with this? Does the temporary visitor date prevent me from travel? The only other valid unexpired ID I have is a foreign passport, which wont work anyways...

Worst case scenario, my father or myself will drive over to Missouri because I can't just sit, wait and pass on an interview like this. I tried called TSA, but there is no way to get to a representative. So any experiences like mine or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advanced!

You should be fine, they typically accept expired IDs up to a year. If you have a passport, that may be better to present.

Use passport instead if you're doubtful.

I recently took a road trip. My DACA is officially expired and back to illegal status. I am from CA, so I just took my license and just drove. I visited CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, NE, CO, UT and NV. I was pulled over in ID and WY. No one asked about immigration status. They all asked for a license and I showed mine that says "Not For Federal Identification".

Why did you get pulled over?
