Does anyone have any experience in forming an LLC in Texas and then working for themselves? How does that work? Have you had difficulties?

No issues. You create an LLC online by filing through your state.

https://www.sos.state.tx.us/corp/bus...tructure.shtml

Fill in the data, get an employer ID with the IRS and become an independent contractor.

Yes it's easy I have three LLCs, you can just file online. I only worry about DACA ending because I need a valid drivers license for the types of business I run

Interested as to how to approach a major company that you work for with the LLC option.

Everybody on here should do that now in my opinion. You already have a record of paying taxes on your SSN so if you continue to do so through an LLC later, it may not raise eyebrows if things really head south and you want to work for yourself but still file taxes.

I'm not sure how it would work with a regular corporation since with that you have to file taxes using the company's EIN and you're just an employee. LLC treats your taxes like a sole proprietorship more or less.

Of course, technically you're still not allowed to work so these are all unpleasant things, but at least you can still pay taxes.

So, it is still illegal for us to work under LLC?
