Before the whiners complain, this isn't exclusively dream act or DACA related, but just a PSA for those in the area.

Quote:
U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested 25 people for immigration violations during a three-day checkpoint on the southbound side of Interstate 93 in Lincoln, authorities said.

Fourteen of those people arrested were visa overstays from Colombia. People without valid immigration statuses from Brazil, Ecuador and Mexico were arrested, authorities said.

Drugs, including two pounds of marijuana, small amounts of cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms and hash oil were seized during the checks, authorities said.

U.S. Border Patrol agents based out of the Beecher Falls Border Patrol Station established the checkpoint Friday through Sunday with the support of the Woodstock Police Department.

“Checkpoints are just one of the tools we utilize to enforce the immigration and other federal laws of our nation,” Swanton Sector Chief Patrol Agent John C. Pfeifer said, in a press release. “In addition to technology, manpower and intelligence, checkpoints help to deny access to major routes of egress away from the border and into our communities in the interior of the U.S.”

Agents said one U.S. citizen fled from the checkpoint at a high rate of speed for more than five miles. That person, who was stopped by Woodstock police and arrested, faces felony charges, including reckless driving, possessing a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a minor, officials said.

U.S. Border Patrol agent Brad Curtis told WMUR the checkpoint was purely routine. He said they have done checkpoints in the same area in the past, but they haven't been there for years because of a shortage in manpower. Now that agents have the resources to start doing the checkpoints again, Granite Staters can expect them again in the future, he said.

They don't specifically mention who had the drugs other than the USC that tried to flee. But I posted mostly for the immigration checkpoint.

It is a border state, dummy!

When I traveled to Montana, I made sure I avoided the checkpoints. I ended up going to Missoula, Livingston and Butte. Very beautiful state.

Same as Idaho. There border checkpoints in the panhandle.

Damn I was in New Hampshire last Saturday and I didn't have my EAD with me.

Lucky me.
