DACA Friday Thread

Today is the last working day before September 5. If Trump is going to make an announcement about DACA, it's going to be today. If we survive today, I think we will be fine. Let's keep our eyes peel and keep each other informed.

President Obama granted me 4 years of freedom and normal life. I have accomplished so much in this short period of time. Words cannot express the level of respect and gratitude I have for him. In the future, doesn't matter what country I live in, he will forever be my president.

He can make an announcement on Tuesday as well. The deadline is "by September 5th" which usually indicates end of day Tuesday.

It looks like today is going to be our judgement date. The republicans refuse to push back the deadline.

My lawyer just called me and asked me if I did my biometrics yet, and to be ready for today...sigh I'm on my way to class and I honestly feel like bawling my eyes out. Anyways, I'm not really a religious person but I'm definitely praying for us all.

In my opinion, the only contingency plans are the following;

1. Wait patiently for Congress to pass a Dreamer bill.
2. Legalize yourself through other methods.
3. Self Deportation.

None of them are bad. It just depends on what you're leaning towards.
