Just wondering...
I'm sure the HR office at your company probably knows about it but does your direct boss or supervisor know about it as well? Not that they can help you regarding status adjustment but if you were close to them would you share it if the opportunity arises and was relevant to some other conversation?

And do any of your co-workers know? Would you mind if they did?

Thoughts?

My manager does know about my status. He even know about my marriage issues. My manager hates Hillary so do I.

A few co-workers know. I dont mind if they knew.

Just share it with people you are closed with.

Not my direct manager but one manager in the company with whom I am close with does.

No. Why would you tell coworkers personl business like that? Could be used against you and become office gossip. Separate personal and professional life. I've learned that no matter how friendly and close you become with coworkers, there is still jealousies and backstabbing. Never trust anyone. Two ladies I worked with at an office where I was an administrative assistant became very close friends. Once they got into an argument and one lady threatened the other one with a personal thing she had confided into her about. The lady who was threatened came crying to the boss about it. And our boss told her don't tell your personal business like that to people. I don't trust anyone besides my family. But maybe that's just me. I think human nature is just inherently bad and there are very few good people in this world. The bad outweigh the good by far.

But if they know, wouldn't they inevitably question your work authorization and etc... thus putting your employment in jeopardy if they also have concerns about the Trump/DACA situation

Explain more on that part.

As long as they are liberals, it is okay. Dont go tell a conservative that follows Ann Coulter.

Well said. You would think this is common sense but apparently not.
