lol, it happens all the time where I work. I never get scared though. Why do you get scared? Got a few corpses in your closet or something? lol

There's no reason to be scared unless you try to kill or rob someone in front of them. Cops, like any other worker, don't like to work on their lunch breaks so they are not going to come to the restaurant and actively look to questioning employees about their immigration status.

The cops are there to eat, so just let them eat in peace and be friendly, thats all. If you live in NYC, then you're even more better off because the NYPD here just doesn't give a crap about a guy working hard in the kitchen and staying honest, who just may be here illegally. Our city has got bigger problems.

Don't be scared of cops, you probably are not doing anything wrong and they can't do anything to you without a probable cause of a crime.

Seriously, I have lost some respect towards cops because they drive while talking on their cell phones, they make traffic violations for no apparent reason (driving above the speed limit, making illegal u-turns, and passing on the opposite lane are the ones i've seen personally), and also, they don't make payments on their cars because they feel that nobody would tell them anything if they don't pay lol seriously.

Ok I got way off track here, anyways my point is, don't be scared of cops be scared of ICE

cops<ICE lol

Instead of shying away from the cops make friends with them, because despite what we would all like to believe, every man is not created equal. You never know when you might need someone higher up for a favor or two.

I understand I get nervous around them but if you ask me although everyone says we did, I don't think we broke the law. So here at my job we have had several incidents and they always ask me to file the police reports. Well they always ask me for identification and say I left it at home and that is the end of that. I don't think they care. Most cops don't care about your status just think about how you are one in millions with the exact same problems. That helps me get through the day.

A car crashed into my cousin's car back in highschool and totalled it but nobody was hurt. The cops hadn't arrived yet and i made up an excuse that i was going to use the pay phone to call for help and bounced from the scene and never came back. LOL

if i were you i would get to know a couple or so VERY well and pull cards or badges(those that are given out to family members of officers) off them. it's not difficult if they are coming everyday? hello?
I would esp try lieutenant's.
