Few week ago, i got a letter from IRS about ITIN rejected for some reasons. and i tried to resubmitted after that. and today i got another letter from IRS. The letter said they knew my itin rejected and they provide me temprary Taxpayer ID NUMBER. So what do i do next? please give me some advise. BTW when i make the copy of my passport, do i need to notary for my passport? because i didn't notary but when i call IRS and they said i have to.

you have to get an acceptance agent to notarize a copy of your passport and not just your copy of your passport, any other copies of documents that you have submitted. go to the IRS website, and search for authorized acceptance agents, in the area you live.

Yeah Ed, did you get it? I want to use the same process as you since my boss never provided me with that information. I just want to pay my taxes! Lol.

You might want to go to your local IRS office and have them do it. You can take in the original documents personally and they will take a look and start the process and then they will give you your documents back. After that just wait for your ITIN. I think the problem was that you used non-notarized copies.
