LTC Stock made an announcement confirming the policy change within USCIS that the new N426 itself is sufficient for background clearance, so USCIS is currently moving forward with all the pre bct N400 under the pressure of the court. Please refer back to the main post for updates. I will post anything as soon as I heard them.

I wonder if USCIS can approve your naturalization on the spot after the interview - any insight?

depends on the officer and field location. some have same day interview + oath

Yes, they can. ceremony however, usually comes later.
