WH denouncing federal judge's ruling on DACA. "We find this decision to be outrageous," says @PressSec. She says @POTUS will work with Congress to reach "a permanent decision that corrects the unconstitutional actions taken by the last administration.”

But are the rest of the Republicans going to feel the same way? Now I don't see anything happening next Friday unless this gets overturned ASAP.

We have to keep up the pressure. I don’t think republicans can use this ruling and say there is no sense of urgency. They have always argued DACA was unconstitutional so I don’t think they will accept this ruling anyway.

It will be alright. I have a feeling this will not affect any ongoing efforts to find a permanent solution. I can see why people are being reactionary, but you can't assume this will negatively impact progress made already. Let' just see what happens.

I don't know anything anymore. I hope I'm completely wrong.

What makes you think this must be overturned in order for a permanent solution to be reached?

This.

Also, Congress knows it has to act because there will be pricks challenging the Judge's order.

Wow, this statement actually gives me hope.

Of course they find it outrageous. They rescinded it in the first place.

But, the fact that they say that POTUS will work with Congress to find a permanent solution instead of immediately saying "we will fight this ruling" at least gives me early hope that they are open to allowing renewals.

Because I can picture those assholes who don't want relief saying that now they have more time to come up with a better solution, just so the Jan 19 deadline passes without a hiccup and they can get rid of the pressure.

I don't underestimate Republicans. They might scream and shout about how DACA was unconstitutional, but they like to play dirty and are not afraid of using any excuse to fuck us over.

A rational person would not let this bother them and continue with efforts to pass the Dream Act. I'm not worried about what a rational person would do as much as I'm worried about how a man child might take offense to this and take his ball and go home.
