Hi guys! So, I'm from Philly. Go Eagles btw!! Anyway, I recently got married to my USC boyfriend. I'm in the process of moving. I have a valid PA State ID that will expire on 10/18 but since I'm moving I need to get a MD ID. I did just notify the USCIS of my new address and received an email confirmation. Can you tell me what is the process at the DMV?? I checked their website and it doesn't tell me what to bring etc for a noncitizen resident. Also, can I get a DL? Will there be a setback due to the expiration of my EAD?? Hubby and I are planning to self-file an AOS pretty soon. We are currently trying to get more evidence and also for me to start working as a nurse. Thanks lots!!

Bring your SS, and the EAD along with approval letters I821. As long as the EAD is current and not expired you're eligible to apply for a DL, but the DL that will be issued will only be valid based on the expiration date of your EAD. Don't go to an express MVA, but to a full MVA center. Just be prepared to sit for hours.

When you go to an MVA I recommend getting there as soon as they open, it will guarantee your wait time to be minimal. If you live anywhere near Glen Burnie, they are very well versed in DACA EAD permits, and should not give you a hard time as long as you bring your PA ID, SSN Card, and the EAD.
