S&P500, DOW and NASDAQ gave up 1% gains mid day as shut down is looming. Whole article is linked below... but let me remind you guys in dec markets knew it would get punted as they were not affected (one day they were even I think).

Chances of the shut down are higher than ever in my opinion by just simply looking at the markets reaction.

This tells us next to nothing. It just tells us investors feel that a government shutdown is possible, it doesn't say that a shutdown is imminent or even likely, as your title implies.

One reason Dem leadership seems to be playing such a weak hand with DACA and govt funding is they may have a weak hand.
