"It is clear that Congress has at least until March -- at a minimum, and maybe even longer -- to reach a compromise on the DACA question,"

"There is no reason my colleagues should hold government funding hostage over the issue of illegal immigration," McConnell said.

Before anyone posts that this guy doesn't understand that implementing an application and processing said application takes time:

Turtle knows PERFECTLY WELL that waiting until March will cause several DACA beneficiaries to expire.

His play is either to wait until March 5 so that he can get more concessions out of Dems or to wait until March 5, at which point his new line will be "well, they're already expiring now, the sky hasn't fallen, guess there's nothing we can do for them".

He is saying that the government has until March or even longer because of the judge order to reinstate daca renewals.

The renewals by USCIS is not helping our cause or the pressure which was building like it was before the California judge ruling.... except for President Trump for his wall and Dems for DACA bill....For rest Republicans now they are saying we can wait till march or more longer since all folks whos permits are expiring are now able to renew it so their is no urgency..... NOT GOOD TIMING
