Married in october. Filing taxes?

Hello

My husband and i got married in october and we just got our w2's it still says single on them. We were going to file separately anyway, but should we change it to married?

Im a usc and hes daca

Filing separately is a no no if the point is to file on his behalf later.

If you guys going to do adjustment of status then you should file together.

Plus it gives you more benefits than the separate.

This is my question too. I heard you can file separately but you must file as married not single. Because that's what they actually look at. This is what I've read from VisaJourney. Anyways, I'm still thinking whether to file separately or together.

Also! Question! I got my W-2 and the address says my old address. I got married on Dec. and I'm on the process of changing my address. So, do I just change it when I file and put my new address??
