I was planning to renew through my company’s lawyers. However, I received the filled forms yesterday and they have selected that all notices and EAD be sent to their office directly instead of to me. I don’t know how I feel about that...

Anyone else filing renew through lawyers or through company lawyers, please let me know if this is the norm? Am I over reacting?

You can do it yourself, its pretty easy especially if you have copies of your old renewal forms.

In your case, usually lawyers will get a copy of everything you get. If only they will be getting notices, ask them to redo the forms.

I have renewed through a lawyer in the past, and I have always received the notices. I agree with the poster above, ask them if they can send you copies of the notices they get.

I worked at a small family law firm before and they always had all docs mailed to their office unless requested by client

just do it yourself its not hard. just make sure to have all the evidence and double check before you send, preferably as 1 day priority

This Has been my theory. I think trump wants to save DACA. Key word “HE” not Republicans definetly not Democrats. He, wants all the glory. So it’s gonna be a while before both side give up but when they do and they will... here comes trump ton”save the day”. Watch

Hahaha. Totally not the reason. I guess it’s miscommunication since i wasn’t told until I went over the form. I’ve never filled out a G-28 before so it kind of threw me off when I saw the checked box. It all worked out so mod you can close this thread. Thanks~

I had my original filed by a lawyer because of the delicate nature of my case (Got Charged with a Major Misdemeanor but was found not guilty so I wasn't convicted).

For both my renewals I filled them out myself. Before my original DACA expired I submitted a FOIA request to DHS and they sent me my whole file on a DVD. So I filled my renewals forms exactly as they had submitted everything originally and I was able to get my first renewal without any issues.

I'm hoping for the same outcome this time around (Since nothing has changed) but I will keep you posted.

I think you will be fine submitting everything on your own for a renewal
