So my dad lives back in my home country and I haven’t seen him in 16 years.

I get a call this morning from my sister informing me that he passed away suddenly this morning. I’m heartbroken I didn’t get to see him one more time . The sad part is I can’t even go back for his funeral now . I don’t know what to do? I feel guilty and distressed! I don’t know what I’m going to do now.

I am so sorry!!!

I think they removed the AP option from our DACA, but maybe call a lawyer and see if there is any way you can get AP?

Hang in there- sending good vibes and prayers.

Sometimes life hits us hard in the last hurdles. I am sorry to hear that happened to your father, however you cannot blame that on yourself. These things happen randomnly and to all of us. I am sure that your father would have wanted you to stay and hold strong. You really have no option but to stay or else your life will change forever fot the worse. We are all in this fight together.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Stay strong we are so close to getting some type of relief legally. We should find out soon enough. I would advise you to not travel without AP if that has crossed your mind I know I would want to jump on a plane and see my loved one at his time. But it's just been such a long time of sacrifice. Stay close to your family here and keep each other strong. It's all we can do to get through.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss.

Hang in there buddy.
Once legislation passes, you will be able to go pay your respects.

Same happened with my grandfather after 24yrs. Luckily, I obtained AP at that time.
