As some of you may know, illegal immigrants cannot apply for a driver's license nor can they renew their existing driver's license. As young adults, this handicaps us in a major way. I wanted to start a thread on this topic to see what other people's situations are and discuss what we can do to overcome this issue.

The DREAM Act is the focus on this website, but I think it would be very helpful to discuss these serious problems that are facing us in our everyday lives. Feel free to comment on this! I am very curious as to what others are doing about their driver's licenses.

I have a DL and sometimes I wonder if i'm gonna be able to renew it when it expires on July 2010, if DREAM doesn't pass sooner that is.

And K-Man, I know this has been brought up a million times but things change quicker than you'd think and it doesn't hurt to start new threads about it, new info can help some people or stuff that wasn't talked about in past threads can be brought up in new threads.

I'm sorry but its seriously annoying me that every time someone posts something you have to go in and give them a link to search stuff, I mean I get it 'cause some people ask some questions over and over, but damn let people post! after all, this is a forum right?

P.S. I do encourage new members to read the FAQ and stickies before they post.

I think it's more about having 10 threads on driver's Licenses versus only one or two. It makes it harder to search for threads with "Driver's License" if there are 10 of them instead of one. It gets redundant and time consuming if you're a newbie looking for info.

Let's try to add on to existing threads when possible to help out the newbies, so they don't have to comb through 10 of them.

Thank you for finally understanding what many of us were trying to say over 6 months ago.
