I don't see why not unless status other than DACA is a requirement.

I have a couple of policies in Texas. They ask for your Country of Citizenship and if you plan to reside outside of the US for longer than 6 months.

Never got the point of life insurance. How can they make money on it if everybody will die and they have to pay out without it being a bad deal for the consumer? If you really care about "your loved ones", just put that money in the bank.

I live in a relatively dangerous city, I ride a motorcycle regularly, and I deal with several occupational hazards at work. At the moment I don't have anywhere near the amount a good insurance policy would provide. Everyone's situation is unique but it makes sense for me. Hypothetically would undocumented family members have trouble cashing in a claim?

I have my lawyer working on my will and designated health rep etc. My life insurance from work requires a ssn so I put my uncle and told him its for my mom but you know, money changes people so I asked her to look into how I can make my mom the beneficiary or make a trust and make my mom trustee so she dug a little. Turns out the beneficiary CAN be a foreigner. Call the life insurance conpany and inquire with the procedure and policy is with foreign beneficiaries.

Because the other major source of revenues for life insurance companies is investment income. They use the premium money to invest. Life Insurance is a long tail liability for insurance companies. Losses can come years and years after inception of a policy. Life Insurance Companies therefore invest heavily in long term securities like Bonds. And vice versa also...they can get losses drastically at one time..for example a whole family dies in an accident. So there's major major dynamics behind these insurance companies. They make TONS of money actually. Life Insurance is essential especially if you have a young growing family. In fact I'd argue even the spouse/individual who stays at home who cares for the household full time should be covered.

I got life insurance through New York Life. I do rock climbing + paragliding so I have a $100k policy at $40/month. Not much, but enough for my family to cremate me. My group life through work explicitly doesn't cover ultralight accidents :/
