MEXICO CITY, July 5 (UPI) -- Presumptive Republican U.S. presidential nominee John McCain told Mexican leaders security at the border is a precondition of immigration reform.

McCain ended a visit to Colombia and Mexico Thursday, The Arizona Republic reported.
"I believe we must have comprehensive immigration reform. The American (OTCBB:ADGI) people want our borders secured first," McCain said at a Mexico City news conference. "That will require some walls. It will require virtual fences. It will require high-technology equipment. We must secure our borders, and then we will address the issue of comprehensive immigration reform."

I don't even care about the issue anymore, I just puke at the ridiculous overuse of the phrase "secure the border".

What's the point of even holding conferences if you're just going to say the same thing, verbatim, every chance you get?

^Agreed, the politicians no matter from which side always use blame & gridlock for not getting anything done."An upcoming election" is not a reason for not legislating & finding a consensus since they're elected to find solutions to the nations problems, end of story.

I'm tired of hearing the same old thing too.

How long is this going to drag on??

It will drag on for eternity.

They can build walls all over, but history has shown that walls won't really make a difference. If you're so damn worried about people coming here, why don't you try to see what the real sourse of the problem is?
Most of our countries have pretty screwed up economies, that's the who reason why our parents came here. The US is very good when it comes to going to our countries, using other countries' resources and leaving nothing behind.

How dare they forget how they're treated in our countries! We treat you like queens and kings, and yet you can't even show basic respect for us when we come to your country.
You can't even treat us like people.... and then you wonder why your society is so screwed up and try to blame us...

I'm so sick of hearing that.

If McCain gets elected, I would just eventually be hoping him to do consistant flip flop..
so we get the dream act..
