Has anyone here traveled by air from McAllen, TX with DACA? I hear they detain you for a minimum of 6 hrs. What was your experience?

Thanks

How would they know if you are DACA? I usually travel with my Driver license or passport.

Just wear a MAGA hat and you'll be fine (being very serious here, unfortunately).

What you hear is wrong. Why would the TSA stop you? They ain’t ICE. I travel around the country. Twice a month by air. Never had any issues.

My friend traveled round trip from California to Hawaii without a passport and his “limited” Driver’s license without an issue. I think you’ll be fine.

As an engineer I am required to do site visitations, and I fly within the US main land all the time. I have never had any issues boarding nor getting off a plane. You will be fine, just make sure that the name on your flight ticket matches letter by letter to the name shown on your TX DL.

Meaning that if you have a gazillion names and last names like I do (I'm hispanic and we're rich with the names), then all of those names and last names shown on your DL must also match the names on your flight ticket.

Never had a problem. Yes there is a BP agent next to him/her but have never been detained or asked any questions about my status. When did this happen?

McAllen is within 100 miles of the border so Border Patrol does have jurisdiction there.

This happened 2 months ago to my sister. She was detained and taken in to immigration she was there for 4 hours. They said that from now on all DACA recipients should expect that!

Thanks

Why was she detained? Did she flash her EAD instead of her DL or state ID?
