Right now NY does not issue drivers licenses or IDs to us.
If you use the search option and search the forum, you will find a lot of threads about traveling. The general consensus is that it is not very safe to travel.
Since you live in NY I would suggest not going to any other state for college because if you stay in NY you will get in-state tuition. (I'm assuming you went to at least 3 years of high school there and graduated from a high school int NY.) Take it from someone who does not get in-state tuition, it is a huge difference and a great financial help to not have to pay out-of-state.

Oh and Welcome!

Oh. I just figured, I was looking at the DMV website, and as long as one acquires 6 points, and provides a letter of rejection of SSN, it is possible to obtain it. But I guess not.

I do get in-state tuition in NY, but I just like the school in Washington better. Money's not an issue, I took out a student loan.

I cannot take a train, because it takes about 4 days, and my parents won't let me. I also hear those are unsafe.

I may be crucified for saying this but...

If you have a passport that is unexpired, without an expired visa on it, you can still fly with it. Like it has been said a thousand times before, it is still risky probably depending on where you live. If I were you I would take the train with the valid passport but flying with a valid passport is also an option. However, like the other thread says, do it at your own risk, if you are extremely unlucky the TSA agents still have the right to pull you aside, even though it is highly unlikely. But that is your options...

As far as the loan goes, how did you get it? I am curious about getting a loan in the future, after I finish my program. (Can you tell me where you got the loan? probably got a Citizen co-signer?)

oh and the school thing, I am probably just ignorant and naive but I didn't know there was a good school in Washington... I am sure NY has better ones, no?

Sallie Mae Tuition Answer Loan. You need a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident as a main borrower, and you put yourself as a student. They require a SSN, but I used my ITIN and it worked just fine.

It's not necessarily a great school, it's just my top choice, The Evergreen State College. It's for odd, very liberal hippie types you could say.

Congratulations on the loan. I say you go where you want to.
