I'm not totally sure if i said it correctly, but since Obama ( when he wins) initially takes the oath during January of 2009, about how early would he be able to introduce the dream act into Congress once again, and if he does so, how long would it take to get it through all of the initial voting and eventually pass *hypothetically speaking*........*but still wishing it will pass* I just came to wonder this after seeing a recent thread on this website, talking of how people expect the dream act to pass in the year 2009.

How would Anyone know that? (It's impossible)

Now I think Obama did say he will try pass dream within his 1st 100 days, but you know what we never know. So theres no point in trying to pin point a date and say dream will pass.

Honestly - and this is to everybody EVEN IF we get more seats in the house and senate we still need to call our butts off, because the opposition will be doing the same. Nothing is given, And there really is not a such thing as "its our time"

No. No. No. It's not a good question. Asking when Dream will pass is like asking "How much is the price of 89 octane in February of '09?"

Also, you're missing the point about the search function - Your logic is "I wonder if I remember seeing/posting that thread about _____", when in fact, you shouldn't have to remember anything. It should be "I wonder if this topic has been discussed before without me seeing it, OH I KNOW I SHOULD SEARCH FOR IT FIRST TO CHECK SINCE THERES TONS OF USEFUL ARCHIVED INFORMATION"

Problem solved.

Well the DREAM Act isn't introduced by the president, but by a sponsor in each house. If you look at the 110th congress it was introduced March in both houses, and it will most likely follow suit this time regardless of who is president. It would be very unlikely for it to be much introduced later than that in the 111th congress.

Now about taking action on the bill, who knows. It depends on who is president and what looks like the best opportunity for it to pass.

After it passes, it would take 180 days or less for things to be set up so people to begin applying, etc.

PS: I know there may be a search function, but the information is really unorganized. It would be much easier and efficient to make threads and title them "whatever", sticky it, then let people put information in them so this can be avoided.
