Do we have to send passport photos for renewals?

I remember seeing few people mention that photos are not required for renewals. Is this accurate?

You always need passport photos, that's how they issue your EAD.

More like they forgot and got lucky enough to have their application accepted

Strange, I have never gotten my picture taken from my biometrics.

It's always been my fingerprints.

I get mine everytime. But I also never sent passport photos. I also heard some people got RFE for not including passport photos.

Just do the $7.44 passport photos from walmart, or use one of the free apps to make 2x2 photos from your phone and then print them for $0.30 at any place that prints 4x6" photos.
