Is it safe to visit irs office?

My friend does not have daca nor a social security number, he filed taxes and his ITIN number had expired, he called and was told to visit IRS office for any question, is it sage for him to go there?

That doesn't seem right. Have him talk to a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). According to the IRS website, all he needs to do is file a W-7 to renew the expired ITIN number.

hey, so my friend went today with no issue, basically he did not understand one of the letters he got and was told to schedule an appointment. They were very helpful and friendly

Bruh, the IRS doesnt give a shit about anyones status. It only cares about their money and you better give them or you will be big time fuked. With that said, I have visited the IRS office before DACA. Waited 3 hours in line for a 5 min talk with the agent.

The IRS knows how much money we provide to the United States, and therefore does not bother trying to harm us unless we don't pay up.
