Since most of us don't have SSNs, I was wondering what to put under the SSN box.
Maybe my ITSN?
I know that for one of my schools, they only use your SSN to track your application, and say if you don't put one down, they'll give you one (but I'm assuming that they think you're international as that option is for "non-citizens").
I'd ask the admissions officer, but I'm worried he'll jump to conclusions or think I'm international etc.

Anyone have a way around this?
Thanks!

I didn't put anything, and the schools assigned me one.

No problem.

I called the university I was applying to and they told me just to leave it blank.

I turned mine in blank; the registrar asked me if I had a social, and I told her I was 'out-of-status.' She went to the back to check with some other lady and came back saying it was ok.

Allo all, i am new to this site and like u guys i am a dreamie. I have graduated HS in 2005 but bad luck for me i am not living in CA or some other state were undocumented student can go to school without SSN, that if u can pay the school. Here in Tampa, it is very if not impossible to get any form of higher education without one, so from 05 to now i am just waiting on congress to say a word to/for me. Or a word about the dream act. Hopefully it will become law next year. I am very hopefull.

But to those of who are able to go to school make the best of it. And let's all pray that the dream act becomes Law when the next president is in power.

Er...I'm counted as an international student and charged as such. I live in a state that doesn't provide in-state tuition. Depends on the school I guess. You should ask.

You can go to school in Florida,

You still have to pay out of state but some people have even gotten large scholarships or even full rides.
