In the long run, it's a good thing. If they use the Nuclear option, any legislation in the future only requires 51 votes. So when the Democrats control the senate they can ram through anything they want.

Nuclear option won't happen. If the gov does shutdown, what will need to happen is a deal to break the impasse. What might be feasible is codified daca plus the $5 billion in wall money. Fucking give it to him; chances are he won't be able to build it in most border areas because of legal challenges from property owners.
