Hello guys. My sister had a biometrics appointment scheduled for December 24th. However, we checked the website on Friday and Sunday and it said offices will be closed because of the federal holiday. Which I understood to be USCIS offices as well. I'm now reading they should've been opened. Has anyone ever missed their appointments? Are we allowed to just go after any day? Do we have to call? Or even worse have to send everything again? :/ Thanks in advance.

Just walk in and show them your appointment. If they say that you missed your date, just say that you were out of town for the holidays. I doubt they are going to turn her away dude. What is she going to lose by walking and and trying? Nothing.

Yeah walk in with the appointment document that was sent, try to print out the notification about them being closed. They'll more than likely process her, worst case scenario you'll have to call USCIS to reschedule - you may be able to do it on the site as well if she has an account created.

Thank you for the advice guys. My sister called USCIS and confirmed they were closed for Christmas Eve day so they rescheduled it for her already.

If you miss your biometrics appointment, USCIS schedules another one
