Conflicting rumors don't help

Some reason its not posting the picture so link above.

I applied for a mortgage and got denied due to my DACA status. I then went to a larger bank to confirm this and they stated that smaller companies, who are not up to date, misinterpreted the information out there. I qualified through another lender, but not using FHA. So it's a 50/50 shot at this point but like I said, bigger banks have more leeway?

Mind you, this was 2 weeks ago.

I guess they dont want our money. I think its because they dont know whats going to happen to us in the future so they dont want to risk it and lose money.

Go to another bank or credit union and reapply.

I am also interested in this for those who already bought houses. I feel I have read here some people have gotten FHA loans. I would like to buy something next year and was hoping I could do FHA...

I have daca and my wife is a citizen we bought a house together with a fha loan. They said my daca status was not a problem. I just made sure there were no boxes checked saying I was a legal resident.
