Hey guys,

So I've read the previous thread regarding mortgages, but I was wondering if there are any new recommendations considering the HUD not permitting DACA recipients to receive FHA loans? I went to TD and got prequalified for a mortgage, but I'm worried it will fall through because I have DACA. Any suggestions?

I recently purchased a home. I was pre approved with a lender and then denied because of DACA. I spoke with my agent and she found two other lenders who fully qualified me. I went with the lender that gave me a better rate and money towards closing costs.

Moral of the story: don't put all your eggs in one basket. If one lender denies you, another one will approve you.

That’s awesome! Did you go through a bank or something like quicken loans?

don't do quicken.

Go to a mortgage broker as they have relationships with different lenders and can get you better rates.

Your real estate agent will do all the work and trust me they WANT you to get a loan a and buy your home otherwise they don’t get paid.
