Does anyone here know it? I'm trying to get into a coding bootcamp and they require you to pass an assessment on hackerrank. Has anyone used the hackerrank platform?

I have been trying to do exercises on codewars and i find them very difficult

What is your problem, then type that problem into google with the words "stackoverflow". Problem solved.

I can't wait until WebAssembly finishes eating Javascript's market share.

Another vote for freeCodeCamp. They updated it last year with ES6, functional programming, and a bunch of front-end libraries like React.

Coming from a C background I never thought I'd enjoy Javascript but it is a really fun language and it has a lot of tools to make coding fast and efficient.

I checked out codewars. It's pretty fun and I accidentally ended up in a clan lol. That said, codewars does look like a place where you would at least need to know your fundamentals. Start somewhere easier. Imo coding bootcamps dont help. A bootcamp might teach you to code but they wont teach you how to think like a software engineer. That only comes with hours and hours of practice and dedication

I'd recommend starting with LeetCode over HackerRank, mainly because you'll fuck up and not notice the corner cases and HackerRank only shows you the first 5-10 tests they run on and nothing else other than "Your solution is correct" and "Your solution is incorrect". LeetCode shows the first 10 test cases and also a case that you failed on for any reason.
