Has anyone here tried applying for Canadian PR? Does it accept people who are out of status or DACA recipients? I have friends who were on H1B who have applied but don’t know of any DACAers who have. Trying to see if it’s worth a try.

You can with DACA. I looked into it with it briefly after watching the living undocumented documentary on Netflix.

What's the best way to investigate this? Talk to a Canadian immigration lawyer? Go to a consulate? If this election goes south, I'd need a backup plan to my 5th backup plan.

I have a feeling there might be an element of applying from your home country but again yeah I’d do some research on that.

I believe the concensus is that you can apply from here, but when the process is complete must pick up the visa in home country.

If you apply through Express Entry and have DACA you can do the whole application process - including receiving a visa (if needed) and/or PR documents in the United States without going back to your home country. It may be different for those undocumented without DACA or through other programs (ie: student visa to study in Canada).

I remember that you mentioned some time back that you might consider going this route. Did you ever follow through?

Damn thanks for that, I might consider applying just for the hell of it to have an option. Do you think that might impact me as far is continuing to be a DACA recipient here and potentially to adjust here?
