Was anybody able to get PPP for their business? I tried thru TD bank and they asked if I was USC/PR and I said no and it wouldn't allow me to go thru the app. Is this a requirement? Please advise.

I was actually able to apply for PPP and EDIL within the first hour it was available (answered no for USC/PR).. Still no response. My accountant said he knows very few people who actually got the grant/loan..

No that's in their guidelines and sample form so there is no getting around it. You have to at least be a PR.

Again if it's any consolation, I know two USC owned businesses who applied as soon as they were allowed to and got Nothing the first time around - one not even had a chance to fill out the application with their bank before the money ran out and the other in an endless line without any idea where in the line they are. So far with round 2 they've still got nothing.

Meanwhile the Lakers got 4.5 million that they had to return due to pressure; Some Dallas millionaire hotel guy got $60 million which he has said he WON'T return; etc. etc. so those with connections got paid real nice. This program is kind of fucked up for everybody.

Even some small businesses who got the loan and called their employees to come back were told that they'd make a lot more from unemployment due to the $600 bonus from the Feds so if you can file for UI, go that route. You qualify for it and it could actually be more money and far less hassles.

I meant the company i worked for got the funding. Our boss coordinated with the bank beforehand on what were the requirements needed and submitted early. I think it pays that our bank was small/local and they already know our company so we were processed as soon as it was ready.
