to be honest i dont want to torture myself with "what-ifs" anymore. if it passes, it passes ... and i'll be able to stay here. but if it doesnt pass by the time i graduate college and i can't get into graduate school, then i'm leaving back to a country that i barely remember.

and it's the united states' loss.

You could try http://dreamact.info/forum/search.php

if that doesn't work, I hear Miss Cleo might still be doing psychic readings from wherever she's hiding.

It really is the United State's loss.

We are ASSETS to this country, not liabilities. This country invested so much into us and we can take all that investment to countries that want us. Once I get my college education, I'll leave the US with or without a green card and it will be the United States' privilege to let me return if I feel gracious enough.

I WILL GLADLY LEAVE. I'm staying not for the DREAM act, I'm staying to finish college first and foremost. If DREAM passes while I'm still in college, then this country better convince me why I shouldn't leave once I graduate. If I'm gonna be paying 25~30% of my income to this government that wasted 4 years of my life cuz it couldn't do what is right, they got a hell of a convincing to do.

It's about the perspective isn't it? This country better get it's act together or it's gonna lose a lot more than extraordinary assets like us. We are not problems, we are solutions because in the long term, we got soo much to contribute to this world in ideas, hardwork, tax dollars, perseverance, character, sacrifice.

Folks, I will gladly leave with the best thing this country can give me.

don't even bother asking WHEN...

ask IF it is going to even pass. There's a good chance it might not pass, I would be planning for Plan B if I were u.

Preach on sister!!!!!
you just woke me up Sibby. i think it's time we turn the "dream boat" around and start seeing ourselves the way you just described and Dream will be passed.

I completely agree with you Sibby. This country is basically paying for my college education, not to mention grade school, middle school, and high school; and now they are on the fringe of losing their whole investment in a bright individual who would love to contribute to this country.
