Hello everyone,

I know this question has been asked on here probably a million times but I wanted to ask how risky do you all think flying from TX to WA would be with a Mexican Passport? My brother might be flying with me to WA and he does not have DACA but he has a passport. He is only 18 and could not get DACA since it was cancelled. I am thinking TSA is trying to get you in and out because of COVID?? so their guards might be down?? He speaks perfect english which I think he will not be so “suspicious”? Could I get input on this. Thanks!

Try calling TSA and see what they say about using foreign passport as ID.

I flew from LA to NYC last year May with my foreign passport, no visa, no DACA. Just get your page with your identification ready. Of course, be very careful if you are from a racist state.

Real ID has been postponed for an extra year so it should be accepted and SHOULD be fine though not without risk and likely will be scary for him. I don't know where in Texas you are but if you're within 100 miles of the border, there will be other agents there so don't do it. Make sure you don't even change planes in a border town. It's a lovely time in the PNW now...if you like cold and rainy.

If your brother doesn’t have any good status I wouldn’t risk it. You’d probably be fine though.

Just be safe, if it's in the continental US, drive, take the bus, or train. With how stupid people are, they might just claim that you're a human trafficker or some other idiotic explanation.

Yeah. Otherwise you are fine, but like other said, if there is no real reason to travel now until we know who's the next president, DON'T. Plus COVID-19 is still fucking real man.

Honestly, I'd be more afraid of buses and trains because they can be boarded by agents. Greyhound said recently they're stopping that but it's probably riskier.

Driving is definitely the way to go...just rent a car if you don't own one and spend a couple of nights along the way and enjoy the country.

This year I flew from Tampa to NYC and from Tampa to Chicago with a passport with no visa.

All mayor airports and the last trip to Chicago with my mom.
