I have read the official USCIS website stating that walk-ins are not allowed due to COVID. However, I also understand some field offices run a little different at times when it comes to their appointment policies.

Has anyone been able to walk-in early for their biometrics since COVID began?

I am thinking of taking my chances since it would cut my wait by one whole month for my Parole in Place application.

Thank you.

I would just go for it if I were you, nothing to lose and everything to gain.

im not sure if anbody got biometrics appointment since covid. they have been using old biometrics.
if you never got one then why go when they are not asking and may reuse yours as well. I would wait and almost 100% chances they will reuse. if they are not asking dont give them. always stay quite

Have they mailed you a date? Last year they just took my last biometric and called it a day without actually needing me to go in.

If you have a date, and you don't mind... take your chance, but know it's most likely a NO.

If no date, then assume they will take the old bio.

UPDATE: I was allowed to walk in for a biometrics appt today!

Heres' my timeline:

May 12: USCIS confirmed receipt of my Parole in Place (PIP) I-131 application via my military spouse
June 18: Received a letter for a scheduled biometrics appt for July 13 AM in the Las Vegas field office
June 22: Completed a walk-in biometrics appt

I took nydreamer's advice and went in this morning as a walk-in. The security guard asked me to wait until all the scheduled appts were completed to see if they would allow me to complete my biometrics. Within 20 minutes, the guard obtained permission from the manager and I was allowed in. Biometrics only took 10 min from the moment I walked into the building.

I am very happy I was able to complete my fingerprints today. I am hoping I will hear about a decision soon. Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back after biometrics? This is the same form as Advance Parole (I-131) but for military spouses. Thank you.

Great news, glad you went for it! In the past, one time I heard back the very next day after biometrics, but it has also taken 1-3 weeks on a few other instances for me.
