Hey guys!
It's been a minute.

A year ago or so. I had ask if anyone knew about the Wells Fargo lawsuit (WF denied DACA recipients credit)

I was reached out if I wanted to be part of the class action lawsuit. I decided to do it! Today I just received 2 checks.

One with my first name and last name and then another with my first, middle, last and my moms name like on my DACA SSN.

Lucky me?
I hope who ever join this lawsuit was fortunate to get their money.
Thank You for those who started the lawsuit.

Best to avoid any bank that has an immigration requirement or gets too nosey. Don't give your business to Chase, BOA, or Wells Fargo. The only information they need is your name, SSN, and proof of address. That's it'. If they want more information, walk away, even if you have DACA now and would qualify. It's none of their business.

If you live in a major city, there are a lot of local banks and credit unions that cater to underserved communities. They are not glamorous and don't have a branch on every corner but have the same protections and a lot of banking is done online anyway so you won't miss much.

As far as I know, a credit union is essentially owned by its members.
