Uscis not approving my renewal.

I sent in my renewal around July or June and I expire December 2021; I had some issues where uscis made a mistake on my application and misspelled my last name; when I went for my biometrics I told them about it and they fixed it. My biometrics was in September. Has anyone waited this long? Will I be approved before my expiration date?
